More Steam Cleaner FAQ

Here are some of the inquiries Allwein’s Carpet Cleaning gets about our steam cleaner work:

Aren’t all steam cleaners the same?
No. You can tell whether your steam cleaning will be done properly by looking for a machine with higher pressure. Machines with longer hoses are great to use.

Are steam cleaners the same as pressure washers?
No. A steam cleaner does not try to blast things clean, while a pressure washer does using high pressure and water volume. The only comparison between the two is that they make jobs fast and easy.

Can I use a steam cleaner anywhere?
You can use it anywhere with ventilation. Steam cleaners should not be utilized inside an area where air is re-circulated.

What accessories are useful?
For hard water, you’ll need a filter, and for reaching into tighter spaces, a shorter wand is necessary.

How long does it take for carpets to dry after being steam cleaned?
It depends on the humidity, but on average, anywhere from three to six hours. Low humidity days can have the carpet dry in less time.

We are a Harrisburg steam cleaner that will leave your carpet in stellar condition. Find out more about our services at www.AllweinsCarpetCleaning.com
